To achieve operational excellence, we consider the local communities where we operate to be part of our operations. We strive to set local footprints through purchasing, recruiting, environmental responsibility and solidarity.
The last years we have made donations to various voluntarily organizations where we operate. Picture above is showing our Captain handing a Christmas donation over to the local RNLI Skipper in Oban, Scotland.
Where we come from
Since our Owner and CEO Svein Jøran Simonsen started Finnmark Brønnbåtrederi back in 2010, we have operated a variety of vessels primarily, but not limited to, the aquaculture industry.
It all started with wellboats. Both owned and operated by Mr. Simonsen but also ships where we were responsible for commercial activities. Wellboats has been flying our colors both in Norway, Scotland, Ireland and Canada. We feel confident saying we know the industry.
One of the great corner stones of the aquaculture industry is to always strive for improved fish health and quality. Mr. Simonsen recognized this and together with suppliers and customers developed the first independent Thermolicer vessel in the world. With this vessel we have deloused several hundred millions of salmon in an effective and environmental friendly way. And we feel confident saying that this is still the best performing vessel of its type!
Thanks to our competent crew and passionate management we have been running steady operations for over a decade and is ready to face the future full steam ahead!
